Yes, it is hard to believe that it is time to go back to school! The staff and I are very excited to welcome back all of our returning students and familes, as well as all the new students that have registered and their families. Here are a couple updates for everyone:
– Our two construction projects have gone very well and are about 99% complete. I would like to thank Reid & Deleye Contractors Ltd and Walter Fedy Acrchitects for the great job they have done. There were many other partners involved in the project and I would like to collectively send a big thank-you to all of them as well!
– you will notice the new look to the school and Board websites. We are still working through a couple glitches for the school site but hope to have all issues relsoved shortly. Here is the latest update regarding school bell times. School will begin at 8:55 on Tuesday. Dismissal will be 3:15. Lunch breaks will be at 10:55 – 11:35 and 1:35 – 2:15.
– the office is open this week. Office hours are 8:30 – 3:45.
– Meet the Teacher will be on Thursday September 4th from 6:30 – 8:00. Don’t forget to mark this on your calendar!
– Wellesley Fall Fair – school will dismiss at 11:45. Students may return at 12:45 with parents to walk in the parade with staff members. Extended Daycare will still run this day. Students not picked up at 11:45 will remain at the school in the Extended Care program for the afternoon.
– please remember that the parking lot is closed for student drop off and pick up this year. It is open for visitor parking after 9:15 and for Extended daycare parking from 7:00 – 8:40 a.m. and 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. More information will be sent home with the first day newsletter regarding where you can park. We strongly encourage families and students to be active and walk together to school. Meet up with some friends and enjoy your walk!
